Automation

Frakture has standard dashboards for email and fundraising. If you need customizations, that’s what these tools are great for. And, Frakture is great at preparing and standardizing the data that is used by one of these tools.  Frakture’s Bots do all that boring work so you can spend your time building and analyzing the reports. Here’s a relevant blog post.

Our work with nonprofits fall into 5 categories:

  • INTEGRATIONS. We sync data between more than a hundred nonprofit systems. Our work is different than a traditional point-to-point integration. Frakture’s Bots sync a limited set of fields between systems. The bots focus on people, transaction and messaging data.
  • REPORTING. Frakture has standard reports and also makes it easier for  clients to use a 3rd party reporting suite like Google Data Studio, PowerBI, Tableau and more.
  • COMMUNICATION. Frakture helps you manage segments of people between systems. For example, you have a group of people defined in your email system that you want to push out to both a Custom Facebook Audience as well as for an SMS campaign. Frakture pushes the people both directions and manages constituent communication preferences/unsubscribes.
  • CUSTOM PROJECTS.
    • Transaction reconciliation between systems.
    • List cleaning, deduping, householding and CASS standardization
  • AGENCIES. Frakture’s work with agencies is focused on automating and standardizing their client’s reporting and attribution. This allows our agency clients to spend more time analyzing their client’s data!

Yes. We have Bots for over 60 end-point systems and we’re building new Bots every week. Ask us for a list.

Bots

If you already use one of these data visualization tools, you are intimately familiar with the work that goes into loading the data into the tool. Frakture can execute a daily refresh of the data, giving you more time to prepare reports and analyze and gain insights from the data. Frakture has a few standard reports, but if you need something more customized, ask us about our partners who help clients with reports. Here’s a relevant blog post.

Frakture can assist you with advertising on these platforms. For example, Frakture can push your recent donors to a custom audience and can refresh that group daily. Frakture’s Bots are also great at pulling down data to report out on ad campaigns. Frakture does not pull any profile information of people on these platforms. There are other companies who specialize in that.

There are three ways that Frakture’s Bots access systems to get data out. Our preferred method is to do a direct database read. Our secondary method is to use an existing API. If neither of those methods are available, the Bots are trained to log into the user interface.

For the non-techie, think of a bot as a robot in your computer that automates things. There are many different types of Bots: there are chatbots, voice bots, search bots and many bad bots. Frakture bots specialize in automating highly repetitive routine data jobs such as downloading a transaction file, sorting, filtering and appending source codes. Bots are good at data jobs, but they are not good at jobs that require a human brain. We are often asked, “Can a Bot get a specific piece of data out of a system?” We respond, “If a human can get it, a bot can get it.” Bots are not magic, but can seem that way because of the efficiency they bring to your work. Frakture’s Bots specialize in people, transaction and messaging data.

Data Security

The data warehouse is hosted by Amazon Web Services and managed by Frakture. If you already have your own data warehouse, you can give us access to it, and we will deploy Frakture in it.

Frakture uses Amazon Web Services for hosting and we never commingle client data, each client gets their own warehouse.  If you want more details, here is our security statement and terms of service.

Data Warehouses

Think about what would be possible if all your data was centrally located and standardized.

When data is warehoused:

  • Reporting is fast, easy and accurate.
  • You can easily produce cross channel reports.
  • You can use as many systems as you want.
  • You don’t have to create custom fields in all of your systems, you can keep the data in its original system, connect the data in the warehouse and only sync the data that is mission critical.
  • Nothing is lost during a system transition.

A data warehouse, data lake and data mart are all names for basically the same thing. It’s a central place to store all of your data so that it is system agnostic. This means you can use the best system for the right job—email, fundraising, SMS messaging—and still generate reporting that is comprehensive based on the single data warehouse.

Frakture

Frakture is the future of nonprofit data management and helps organizations be nimbler by automating time-consuming data processes.  Are you frustrated with your constituent data being stored in multiple systems or that your systems don’t talk to each other? Well, with Frakture, your data is no longer fractured. Data from all of your systems is consolidated and standardized in a data warehouse and then the fun begins.

  • Do you want to manage email unsubscribes across two different platforms?
  • Is your data in need of a major clean up?
  • Do you want to do multi-channel attribution and analysis?
  • How about adding in a data visualization tool?
  • Do you want to integrate two platforms?
  • Do you want to test a new platform for a month or two before you buy it?

Frakture’s Bots and Data Warehouse make all of these things easy. The Bots automate the pulling and pushing of data from systems so a human no longer has to do that time consuming work. Frakture powers warehousing, business intelligence, process automation, visualization, cross-system analysis and integrations. Frakture works with nonprofits, fundraising and marketing agencies as well as technology platforms.

Frakture is not an agency. We are not consultants. We are not a CRM. We do not provide insights into your data. Frakture is agency and vendor agnostic and an expert in data operations and management.

No. Frakture does not charge based on volume or quantity of data. We will host your data warehouse at no additional cost, and you always have the option to host your own warehouse.

Frakture has an implementation fee based on what you need done and then there is a monthly fee to keep the Bots running. For nonprofits, Frakture starts at $750/month. The cost of our subscription service is based on the number of systems connected to Frakture and what additional services your organization needs.

Please ask about pricing for agencies or companies.

That’s a great question and simplest answer is that it depends.  Once you know you want to work with Frakture, it’s best to start creating system logins for us. We’ve seen this process taken anywhere from 2 minutes to 5 weeks. Then, with those credentials, Frakture’s Bots will log in and push data into the warehouse.  At this point, all your data is in the warehouse and you have full SQL access to it. Then, if we haven’t already, we’ll have a call to go over the details of the data Frakture will set up table.

Are you tired of manually moving or manipulating data? Frakture has built automations to extract, transform, normalize and then push data between hundreds of systems that nonprofits use. This not only saves our clients time, but it eliminates human errors that often occur when moving large amounts of data.
